The York College Alumni Association offers many programs and events to keep our alumni connected, engaged, and involved with York College. Volunteering for YCP doesn't have to take a lot of time, but it provides a real service to the college and keeps you connected with your alma mater. If you want to volunteer for one or more of these programs, please email our office at alumni@ycp.edu.
Listed below are a few of the enjoyable and rewarding alumni volunteer opportunities:
Fall Fest Weekend- This special weekend includes activities for parents, current students and alumni. Activities that take place during this Homecoming and Family weekend include: Men's and Women's athletic events, live entertainment, Student Organizational Festival, reunions, and much more! Volunteer opportunities include: working an information table, giving campus tours, selling hot drinks and food under the Fall Fest tents, running registration at the weekend events, assisting with the many reunions and more!
Spring Alumni Weekend- The tradition of Fall Fest weekend has expanded to include a Spring alumni reunion weekend. Activities that take place during Spring Alumni weekend include: Affinity and Class Reunions, Men's and Women's athletic events, live entertainment, Senior Class Send-Off event, and much more! Volunteer opportunities include: working at the information table, giving campus tours, assisting at the reunions, and more!
Alumni Golf Outing- Every Spring, the York College Alumni Association hosts the annual Golf Outing at. The tournament is a special event that brings together local business leaders and College alumni to network, but more importantly raise funds for current college projects. Volunteer opportunities include: running the registration table, monitoring prize holes, selling chances, and other event logistics.
Alumni Easter Egg Hunt- Local alumni and members of the college staff and faculty are invited to bring their children to an Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Alumni Board. The Easter Bunny will be there, games or activities will be provided, and a magic show will be presented. Children will be grouped according to age for the egg hunt. Volunteer opportunities include: face painting, selling food and drinks, running registration, helping in the games and activity areas, and assisting with the Egg Hunt.
