With four alumni events scheduled in one week, I was excited to kick things off with an event in Philadelphia. On Wednesday, over forty five alumni and current students joined Sparty and me for a networking reception at the Hilton Garden Inn in Philadelphia Center City. The networking reception was hosted by Kenneth Kochenour '74, CEO of GF Management, Inc., owner of the Hilton Garden Inn. Mr. Kochenour certainly treated us like royalty by providing us with an amazing private room overlooking the city and a spread of food like nothing I have seen before.
The networking reception provided an opportunity for alumni and current students from the Philadelphia and surrounding areas to network and exchange business cards in a social environment. Current students had the opportunity to meet alumni and learn the value of alumni contacts in the job search process. The reception provided an excellent opportunity to offer guidance and advice to students about life after YCP, while reconnecting with other alumni.
